Following the green philosophy that has always distinguished this 4 star Superior Green Boutique Hotel – the first in Milan with a “zero Co2 emissions” system and the only one with its own vegetable garden – the Sky Terrace Bar is a special place where you can enjoy an excellent aperitif surrounded by a special glamorous atmosphere and a panoramic view on the entire city.
This year the Sky Terrace Bar has renowed its style, adding even more charm and greenery to the location, so that it is now called “panoramic greenhouse”.
Besides its wonderful location, Sky Terrace Bar Milano Scala offers a list of original cocktails created by Sara, the young and passionate Bar lady, following the ultimate trends and more: here you can taste “green” cocktails proposals made with fresh ingredients harvested directly in the hotel’s vegetable garden – such as aromatic herbs, edible flowers and several special crops like lemon grass or goji berries.
During the aperitif time, cocktails are accompanied by “green” finger food served in nice wooden fruit boxes, with proposals that are periodically renewed.
Last but not least, one of the best surprises for Guests at Hotel Milano Scala: the roof vegetable garden, a green oasis that every year has interesting news.
This year the vegetable garden will offer aromatic herbs, edible flowers, vegetables, old crops – such as black and white strawberries and yellow tomatoes – and a variety of unusual plants like goji berries, lemon grass and oyster grass (scientific name maritima merensia).
These plants with their unique flavors will enrich the Hotel Milano Scala Restaurant & Wine Bar’s menu, at the ground floor of the property. All menus are carefully designed by the Hotel Chef Fabio Castiglioni and defined as “zero-step” because their recipes use vegetables and fruits grown on the highest garden in Milan throughout the year.
