Impressionism and the avantgarde movements

The exhibition “Impressionism and the avantgarde movements” held from 8.03 to 2.09.2018 at Palazzo Reale collects masterpieces from the philadelphia museum of art among them works of Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and Paul Klee.

The collections of modern and impressionist art are one of the flagships of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The singularity of this museum lies in having amassed its own patrimony thanks to the donation of strongly influential collectors who often created their own collections in close collaboration with the artists, an element that adds enormous value to the museum’s patrimony which has now also been augmented with works by young artists.
