Radisson Blu Milan Mico

Radisson Blu Milan says goodbye to pens

Radisson Blu Milan loves green and passionately embrace activities towards environmental sustainability and the preservation of the planet’s resources. We believe that an eco-sustainable and respectful hotel can be an advantage for all those who share the same sensitivity, giving our business a solid competitive advantage.

Green Key

Radisson Blu Milan proudly obtained the Green Key certification, demonstrating the sustainability and environmental responsibility of the hotel towards the territory and the community.

There are many green oriented activities that we carry out at hotel level. Thought the installation of solar panels last May, we are now able to produce our own energy and if we need more, we source the rest from green energy suppliers. We also aim to become a paper-free hotel, and in this direction, we provide free digital newspaper to our guests.

Carbon and Plastic Free Meetings

The milestone of the green key certification is the Radisson Blu Meetings Experience program, recognized by the Green Meeting Industry Council as a leader in sustainable meetings.

For every business meeting organized at the hotel, Radisson Blu Milan calculates the relative emissions of CO² and pays a contribution to support sustainability projects worldwide.

The hotel’s green approach is reflected in the food offering as well. In our meetings we offer fresh, locally-sourced food with high nutritional properties, that helps reducing the carbon footprint as well as keeping the delegates focused and full of energy.

The biggest and most challenging aim of Radisson Blu Milan is to fight plastic pollution and by 2022 to become the first hotel offering plastic-free meetings. At Radisson Blu Milan we are taking the first steps towards this goal by providing glass bottles and switching from pens to pencils in the meeting rooms.
