Lombardy, 37 million visitors in 2016

Lombardia is attracting travelers from all over the world. In 2016 tourism in Lombardia reached 37 million visitors, which is 9.2% of the national total.

But there’s more: from 2008 to 2016 foreign visits grew at a pace more than double compared to Italy as a whole: +50,3% compared to +23,3% of the national average. The industry in the region is brought on by the after effect of Expo 2015 but, as revealed by a research of Intesa Sanpaolo, an important growth is foreseen even in 2017.
